Food Sovereignty

... or Food Security  ...  next session Sunday 25th April 2021

about this afternoon session

Sunday Sessions are now a combination of a story presentation, labyrinth gardens contemplation, social and ceili. We invite a limit of 18 people to visit our cottage and gardens for this

We live stream the story presentation through Facebook Live from our Carrowcrory Cottage & Labyrinth Gardens Facebook Page. You do not need to be a Facebook member to watch! This is the all public link to the live stream ...

About this Session ...

This self isolation during 2020, thrown upon us, created a new ‘Victory Garden’ generation that created the allotment network during and since World War 2. Supermarket panic buying moved onto Garden Centre panic buying, and it seems millions of people created new food gardens, or expanded what they had, and apartment dwellers cultivated waste land into community food land.

Food Sovereignty, what is it?

It is a movement of  believing that people who produce, distribute, and consume food should control the mechanisms and policies of food production and distribution. It is promoting the rights of people to define their own local food and agriculture systems that are "culturally appropriate" to where they live.

Will this replace our dependence on the current Food Security systems that have passed our food responsibility over to corporations and governments?

Invitation to Contribute Content ...

Invitation to add your own Facebook Live feed or YouTube here on this subject matter, but please message me to arrange before posting.

Content can be about your explorations and discovery of resurrection and transformation. This can also be poetry and stories about these things. 10 minute slots maximum. At this point no commercial advertising content though please briefly mention your web site if you have one. .
