Osín. Elen, & Reindeer Folklore, exploring the ways and the bards of the deer

Tales shared from Bard Osín, young fawn, born from deer mother Sadhbh, and mingled with the sidhe, the fairies, to Elen Of The Ways and that tell of the origin of what we call 'ley lines'. The challenge of wildland vs farmland, and that story goes back to ancient Babylonians.

Remarkable ancient stories ripe for a winter December. Stories that are also of now, the decisions we are making, the preparation of affirmations, and the blessings we share and become joyful for over the Midwinter, Yule, and Christmas season.

This is part two of a two part Nature Folklore session exploring the folklore and mythologies of Crom Cruach and Crom Dubh. It is a challenge to separate the two as similar tales are told of both legends. But it does seem that the Crom Dubh mythology arrived later than the reverence for Crom Cruach as a god. The tales of Crom Cruach and Crom Dubh are very intertwined these days.
